Dear Alumni Band Chapter,
I am currently finishing out my final season with the Concord Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corp. We just completed our first national tour and are preparing to depart on our second journey across the nation. For the last four years of my life, Drum Corp has been a major influence and has taught me many things about hard work. I have applied everything learned in Drum Corp into my educational experience. Currently I am studying Criminal Justice and pursuing a minor in Music. Just recently I earned the position of Drum Major for the Wolf Pack Marching Band. This will be my fourth year in the University marching program. Within the local community, I am an instructor for the Reno High School Marching Band and the Hug High School Winter Drumline. As a member of Phi Mu Alpha, I do all that I can to help promote music in the local community. It means a lot to see that members of the community are appreciative of the many hours I invested in furthering music in the community. Your scholarship will help lighten the financial responsibility of continuing my education. I am the youngest of two in my family and my sister and I both attend four year Universities.
